Brilliant is a World with ABBA in

Standard

“Sitting in a palm tree” in my “Tropical Loveland”
Just you and me listening to some “Rock ‘n’ Roll Band”
on our medium wave radio, yes…
Then on very high frequency, “S.O.S”
She said to me “Honey, Honey”
Let me help you spend your “Money, Money, Money”
What about “The King Kong Song”
a classic, but just 3 minutes long
“Another Town, Another Train”
“Knowing Me, Knowing You” we can deal with the pain
“Bang-A-Boomerang”
“Ring, Ring” the telephone rang
“Does Your Mother Know” Bjorn sang
You’re not a has-been
You’re a “Dancing Queen”
“Voulez-Vous” “Voulez-Vous”
“Finally facin’ my Waterloo”
“Lovers Live a little longer”
with their “Kisses Of Fire”
“and you’re only smilin’
when you play your violin…
Dum-Dum-Diddle
your darlin’ fiddle”
“Hey, Hey Helen” You’d better “Watch Out”
ABBA were one of the best bands ever without a doubt

Save the Whale

I knew a girl called Amanda, she had perfect teeth
She loved ABBA and wasn’t afraid to give our leaders grief
I really did love Amanda
Out to save the whale, rhino and panda
Not one to fall for bullshit or propaganda
She was quite some girl, was Amanda
One day, while out on a demonstration
against the evils of vivisection
things turned ugly and she was shot by a policeman
There she was lyin’ in a pool of red
When the ambulance arrived, she was already dead
Amanda, I remember you on the campaign trail
You sung with much gusto “Save The Whale”
The bastard who shot you belongs in jail
The police should answer for their crimes…
But they get away with it time after time…

As for Amanda, Rest In Peace.
