Fair Trade Bananas

Your name is Joanna
You play the piano
And you only buy fair trade bananas
You’ve got extremely good manners
And you only buy fair trade bananas
You are so ethical
And so sensual
It’s not just your politics that are attractive
Oh! Joanna what I wouldn’t give…to be your lover
But you’re sworn to another.

You’ve got extremely good manners
And you only buy fair trade bananas
And fair trade coffee
Fair trade Brazil nuts, fair trade tea
You are often standing there
Just off Trafalgar Square
With your ‘Fight Global Poverty’ banner
And you only buy fair trade bananas.
You’re such a sweet girl, Joanna.

A Happy ‘Tail’ from Kabul

A little boy from Kabul
Was horrified on leaving school
He went out of his mind
For his little dog he could not find
He ran through the market square
He searched almost everywhere
But alas, to his despair
His tiny friend wasn’t there.

Meanwhile, an English soldier, Dave
Out on manoeuvres, really brave
While tending to a wounded colleague Dave did hear
A dog barking loudly into his ear
He returned him to the little boy
Who was overwhelmed with happiness and joy.

The Power

Phil ‘the Power’ Taylor
is a phenomenal darts player
The ‘crafty Cockney’ Eric Bristow’s
classic encounters with John Lowe
may have brought darts to the world’s attention
but the legend Phil Taylor is a sensation.
Bobby George may have sharper outfits and more charisma
but he can’t hold a candle to Phil ‘the Power’ Taylor.
The man from Stoke-on-Trent
who often scores 100%
That’s a 9-dart finish
A front row seat at ‘Lakeside’ if you wish
To see a master performer playin’ his trade
The best darts player of this or any other decade
Phil, step up to the ‘oche’
and blow the opposition away
Phil ‘the Power’ Taylor, we salute you
There’ll never be another like you…
Phil ‘the Power’ Taylor
In another life you might have been a sailor…conquering the seas

Stray Cat

Stray cat, poor stray cat, you ain’t got a home
Stray cat, oh! stray cat, at night the streets you roam (lookin’ for food)
Stray cat, I see you every night on my way back home from the corner shop
Stray cat, one night someone
Took pity on you and left you out a pork chop!
Then a kind old lady
with 2 cats already…
adopted you as her own
Now stray cat has no need to roam…
