When I Was Seven

Standard

Photo from serendipityartgallery.ie

When I was seven, I’d walk on top of walls
Climb steep hills, then tumble and fall
When I was seven, I’d eat sweets until I was sick
And lie on my bed reading my “Beano” comic
When I was seven, I’d ride my bike
Ride it when and where I liked
When I was seven, life was simple and clear
No worries, confusion or reason to fear…
